Education is the Foundation of Successful lives.
The argument that education is the foundation of a successful life is a common one. It has been argued for years by educators, politicians, and scholars alike. However, the number of people who are educated today is not an accurate representation of our society.
According to statistics released by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2015, those with at least a bachelor’s degree account for just 30% of the population; those with some college or an associate’s degree account for another 27%; and those with only high school diplomas account for yet another 25%. The large majority of Americans (about 63%) have less than a high school diploma or GED equivalent (US Census Bureau). This demonstrates that many people are not receiving adequate education to prepare them for life as adults in today’s society.

Education is a gift that you give for the rest of someone’s life. It is not an expense, it is an investment. With so many options available as to how one can invest into the education of someone, just by imparting something small such as teaching someone to write and read can make a big difference in the life of an individual and it will set them up for success in the future.
